Whats new in version 2.7.16 Beta:Publisher review:DrawFBP is a diagramming tool that allows the user to enter an FBP network graphically. DrawFBP supports a number of object types, including processes, files, reports, off-page connectors and InitialInformationPackets, and Port names. It captures diagram connectivity as well as x-y coordinates of objects and bends in lines. DrawFBP also supports a limited degree of "rubber-banding": when you move a component which has one or more lines attached, the proximal segments of those lines stretch or shrink.
DrawFBP also supports StepwiseRefinement? - double-clicking on an object marked as a Composite? results in the display of a lower-level SubNet. When you exit from the SubNet, you pop back to the previous level. You can use this during the design process to progressively refine functions, or use it as a way to make diagrams graspable by abstracting functions to a higher level. E.g. the box marked INFQUEUE in the third diagram actually represents a SubNet consisting of two components (and a shared file). It is shown in expanded form just below.
